What Should go in the Rusty Pelican Area?

The consultants for the city of Miami have called for the Rusty Pelican to be converted to some kind of an event space or stage. What does that mean? We are concerned that that may not be well thought out or that it is merely another event stage for coommerciali development. What do you think should go there? Should the Rusty pelican or an upgraded version of it stay there? what other use could be made of that space and how could it be tied together with the marine stadium/basin area?
