North Point Area

How many people have seen the north point area of Virginia Key? Beyond Jimbos. Beyond the Sewage Treatment plant. I had never seen it before the other day when I was stunned at the possibilities of the place. It involves tens of acres of land that are being restored by county efforts. It could make a stunning park, possibnility mnountain bike trails, beaches and other amenities for a city that has so little park space.

Why is it zoned commercial and how can that be changed? Would a set of hotels placed there be in the public interest?

Why hasn't a park in this place been given serious consideration before by city administrators? Its just been left there and needs the attention of the public.
